The mystery of Lorca's grave

One of the aspects of Lorca's life which continues to baffle his fans and historians is the fact that the location of his body remains unknown. In 2009, contrary to his family's wishes, the Spanish authorities allowed digging at the site where Ian Gibson and others thought the poet was buried. Nothing was found. Last Saturday 25th, the UK's newspaper The Guardian published a story in which historian Miguel Caballero Pérez, who has spent three years trying to unravel the mystery by analysing all existing evidence and testimonies, claims to have identified the spot where Lorca was buried.
